2012 was a whirlwind. It happened so fast that while I was looking through images to compile this post I stopped a couple times and said "wait, that was THIS year?!?" A lot of things happened, some good and some bad, but mostly good. There were a lot of 'firsts'. I shot my first wedding (as the primary photographer), we bought our first house, and I found out I am going to be a father! It has been an incredible year both personally and for my photography. I was blessed with so many incredible opportunities, ranging from weddings and engagement sessions, to golf tournaments and conventions, to plays and headshots, to portraits and charity events. One thing that surprised me in 2012 was how much I enjoy engagement and portrait sessions. They are a nice change of pace from weddings, and offer more time to get to know and relate to my clients, plus more opportunities to let loose and get creative! I have no idea what's in store for 2013 (aside from the weddings I've already booked), but I can't wait to find out. One thing is certain: I'm going to be shooting, a lot. My daughter Evelyn is due February 5, sooo My cameras will be getting a workout, as will I!
These are just some of my favorite images from 2012 (roughly in chronological order):
