Southern Fried Goodness

September 27, 2012  •  2 Comments

Now here's a tasty change of pace from my usual weddings and events. I was recently contacted about taking some photos of some State Fair food and I rose to the challenge. I'd never photographed food before in a professional capacity, and I felt that this opportunity may be too good to pass up. I got to meet the amazing family behind Southern Fried Chicken, a Dallas restaurant that has been serving up fried goodness for the State Fair since 1983. They brought out the edible creations, and at the end of the shoot I got to sample them. Not a bad gig at all. Be sure to visit them at the State Fair this year, and you too can feast on Deep Fried Chicken & Waffle on a Stick, and Fried Red Velvet Cupcake. If that alone doesn't get your mouth watering, here are some photos:

Brian,
Can you tell me more about the lighting for the food shots? Did you use natural light, on camera flash, pocket wizards etc?
